Quality Assurance
Our quality assurance laboratory tests products to ensure uniformity and conformity to the required specifications of the product. The X-rite system is used to make sure the ink colors match properly. Wet rub, wet scratch and dry rub tests, along with the 60-10 Tesa tape test are used to check the adhesion of ink to film. Equipment and knowledge allows us to test all materials with the following tests:
Test flexible packaging material for:
Coating weight
Coating uniformity
Heat seal ability
Coefficient of friction (COF)
Test printing for:
Color match
Registration
Color density
Adhesion of ink to substrate
The Quality Assurance Lab also has the capability of studying unknown materials to break the properties down to examine the layers. They are responsible for establishing all specifications for the application of new products, studying possible modifications for existing products, and tracking quality issues.
ZCMP Receives 'Superior' Rating from American Institute of Baking
The American Institute of Baking performs an annual audit that is based on their published AIB Consolidated Standards for Food Safety. The Food Safety Standards are published for food processors, to evaluate food safety risks and compliance levels based on criteria in the Standards. The Standards contain the criteria and rating methods used to assign numerical scores to the facility. The criteria are based on a combination of Good Management Principles, The Federal Food Drug and Cosmetic Acts and Good Manufacturing Practices. The facility being inspected is given a rating based on their achieved total score. ZCMP was inspected on February 16, 2007 and is proud to have received a score of “Superior” by the auditor for the eight (8) consecutive audits
