Zimmer, Sr. founded Zimmer Paper Products in 1930 with a stong personal commitment to provide quality products for the customers, to assure the welfare of the employees and to serve the community. 1947: The company was incorporated as Zimmer Paper Products, Inc. 1950’s: The company was first to be commercially successful at the coating of paper with high viscosity hot melts. 1968: Acquired the Specialty Pacific division in San Francisco. 1974: Zimmer installed the first state-of-the-art hot melt coater in the Western hemisphere and built a modern product development laboratory. 1981: Divested interest in Specialty Pacific operation. 1984: Installed a second modern hot melt coater-laminator and expanded the manufacturing facility. 1993: Zimmer installed a technologically advanced 8-color flexographic press. 1994: Zimmer acquired Custom-Made Packaging who was a leading supplier of film packaging to the dairy industry. 1998: Zimmer Custom-Made Packaging became a division of Norse Dairy Systems and developed a stronger interest in the ice cream market. 2001: 1849 Investments, LLC purchased Zimmer Custom-Made Packaging from Interbake/Norse Dairy Systems and the company became a separate entity. 2004: ZCMP began offering Die Cut flexible packaging products. |
